SIMON, Charles William, a Representative from Allegheny County; born, August 22, 1862 in Allegheny City (now Pittsburgh), Allegheny County, Pa.; partner, M. Simon’s Sons, lumber dealers and planing mill operators; elected, common council, Allegheny City (1889-1893); elected, delegate, Republican State Convention (1890); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1896 and 1898; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1900); appointed, chair, board of tax revision and assessment, Allegheny County (1912-1916); died, February 4, 1917 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Highwood Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
