COLE, Francis I., a Representative from Adams County; born, September 13, 1826 in Berkanan, Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany; farmer; engaged in lumbering and coopering enterprises; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1888 and 1898; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1890, 1900); died, March 21, 1906 in Arendtsville, Adams County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church Cemetery, Ortanna, Adams County, Pennsylvania.
