McCONNELL, James, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, October 17, 1849 in County Tyrone, Ireland; plasterer; appointed, deputy collector of delinquent taxes, Controller’s office, Philadelphia (1887-1891); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1896 and 1898; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1900); died, March 6, 1903 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Mount Moriah Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
