AUSTIN, Robb, a Representative from Allegheny and Westmoreland Counties; born in Northfield, Summit County, Oh., December 22, 1950; attended, University of Miami; B.A., language communications, George Washington University; newspaper reporter, McKeesport Daily News (1973-1978); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1978; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1980); unsuccessful campaign,  Pennsylvania State Senate (1980); chief-of-staff, United States Congressman Eugene Atkinson; appointed, director of governmental affairs, Food and Nutrition Service, United States Department of Agriculture (Reagan Administration); campaign manager, United States Congressman Patrick Swindall; founder, Austin Communications (1986-present).
