KUSSE, Robert J., a Representative from Forest, Venango, and Warren Counties; born, March 19, 1918 in Rochester, Monroe County, NY; attended, University of Rochester; attended, University of Buffalo; flight trainer, United States Military; test pilot and chief pilot; businessman; owner, Bob Kusse Pontiac Cadillac; member, Warren Higher Education Incorporated; director, Kinzua Dam Vacation Bureau; advisory board member, University of Pittsburgh-Bradford; advisory committee member, Warren Vo-Tech; elected, township supervisor (1966); unsuccessful campaign to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1968); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1972, 1974 and 1976; appointed, Select Committee to Investigate the State Water Plan (1974); resigned from the House, June 7, 1977; elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1977-1984); appointed, Joint Legislative Air and Water Pollution Control and Conservation Committee (1981-1984); died, February 8, 2008 in Okemos, Ingham County, Michigan.
