ZWIKL, Kurt D., a Representative from Lehigh County; born in Allentown, Lehigh County, Pa., June 28, 1949; attended, Muhlenberg College; attended, Findlay College; B.S., East Stroudsburg State College (now East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania), 1972; M.A., American history, Lehigh University, 1982; administrative assistant, Democratic caucus, Business and Commerce Committee, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1972-1973); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in a Special Election on November 6, 1973; Sworn-In, November 15, 1973 to serve the remaining 1973 term and served 5 more consecutive terms; appointed, member, Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (1979-1984); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1984); senior vice president, public affairs and government, First Union Bank (1984-1995); appointed, chair, Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (1989-1996); president, Allentown Economic Development Corporation (1995-2003); executive director, Schuylkill River Heritage Area (2003-2015); board member, Allentown School District Federation (2017-2021); died, September 1, 2021 in Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.
