KLINGAMAN, William K., Sr., a Representative from Lehigh and Schuylkill Counties; born in Tamaqua, Schuylkill County, Pa., December 14, 1916; graduated, Tamaqua High School; attended, Williamsport Technical Institute; served, United States Navy; employed, Lehigh and New England Railroad Company (1937-1948); salesman, Lehigh Materials Company (1948-1951); proprietor, office machine business (1951-1972); former secretary, Tamaqua Board of Education; former vice president, Tamaqua Area Joint School Committee; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1973 term and served 5 more consecutive terms; appointed, Special Committee to Investigate Closing of the Blossburg State Hospital (1973); appointed, Select Committee on Three Mile Island (1979); appointed, Select Committee to Investigate the Department of Aging's Directive #83-12 (1983-1984); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1984); died, August 13, 1991 in Pennsylvania; interred, Odd Fellows Cemetery, Tamaqua, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
