PRATT, Ralph Domenick, a Representative from Lawrence and Mercer Counties; born in New Castle, Lawrence County, Pa., July 7, 1940; graduated, Lincoln High School; B.S., chemistry, Baldwin-Wallace College, 1963; J.D., University of Pittsburgh School of Law, 1970; M.S., health law, University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health, 1971; candidate for Master’s in judicial studies, National Judicial College, University of Nevada at Reno; research chemist, Union Carbide Corps., Douglas Aircraft, Inc.; health legal consultant, Governor’s Office, State of Illinois; attorney; assistant attorney general, Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office; labor relations coordinator, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1974; reelected to serve for 5 consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, Joint Legislative Air and Water Pollution Control and Conservation Committee (1983-1986); resigned from the House, January 6, 1986; elected, judge, Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas, Lawrence County (1985-present: senior judge, 2004-present).
