STEVENS, Correale F., a Representative from Luzerne County; born in Hazleton, Luzerne County, Pa., October 6, 1948; graduated, Wyoming Seminary; B.A., The Pennsylvania State University; J.D., Dickinson School of Law (now Penn State Dickinson Law), 1972; served, United States Army Reserves; attorney; instructor, The Pennsylvania State University (1975-present); city solicitor, Hazleton (1976-1979); solicitor, Hazleton City Authority (1979-1981); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1981 term and served 3 more consecutive terms; appointed, Select Committee to Investigate the Pennsylvania State Police (1986); resigned from the House, January 4, 1988; elected, District Attorney, Luzerne County (1988-1991); elected, judge, Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas, Luzerne County (1991-1998); elected, judge, Pennsylvania Superior Court (1998-July, 2013; president judge, 2011-July, 2013); appointed, judge, Pennsylvania Supreme Court (July, 2013-2016).
