ZIESENHEIM, Joseph R., a Representative from Erie County; born in Girard Township, Erie County, Pa., December 25, 1893; B.S. agriculture, The Pennsylvania State (University) College, 1915; M.S., University of Illinois, 1917; served, United States Air Force (1917-1919); flight instructor; farmer; president, Erie County Farm Bureau; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1927, 1929 and 1931 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1933 term; elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1933-1936, 1941-1944); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the Senate (1936); died, December 21, 1970, Lake City, Erie County, Pennsylvania; interred, Girard Cemetery, Girard, Erie County, Pennsylvania.
