YOUNG, George K., a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, September 7, 1854 in Light Street, Columbia County, Pa.; breaker boy and other positions, Mahanoy City Colliery; mine foreman, Mill Creek Coal Company; proprietor, George K. Young Company, retail coal dealers; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Keystone/Washington Party candidate in 1912; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1914); died, July 20, 1922 in Atlantic City, Atlantic County, New Jersey; interred, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
