WILSON, John Harvey, a Representative from Clarion County; born, January 24, 1841 in Monroe Township, Clarion County, Pa.; attended, Reid Institute; school teacher (4 years); merchant (10 years); agricultural land owner; cattle farmer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to serve the 1875 and 1876 terms; reelected to the House to serve the 1913 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1876, 1914); elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1887-1890); board member, Clarion State Normal School (now Pennsylvania Western University, Clarion); died, April 22, 1944 in Clarion, Clarion County, Pennsylvania; interred, Clarion Cemetery, Clarion, Clarion County, Pennsylvania.
