WILLIAMS, John M., a Representative from Armstrong County; born on May 31, 1858 in Manor Township, Armstrong County, Pa.; attended, Soldier’s Orphan school, Dayton, Oh.; graduated, Glade Run Academy, 1878; engaged, planning-mill business (1878-1884); proprietor, drug store (1884-1908); postmaster, United States Postal Service, Worthington; elected, prothonotary, Armstrong County (1899-1908); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1909 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1911 term; corporation clerk, Pennsylvania Auditor General’s Office (1911-1926); died, September 23, 1928 in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery, Worthington, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania.
