WILCOX, Emmett H., a Representative from Erie County; born, November 6, 1842 in Yates County, NY; landsman, "U.S.S. North Carolina" (1861-1862) and "U.S.S. Mattabesett" (1864-1865), United States Navy (1861-1862, 1864-1865, Civil War); farmer; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1872; reelected to the House for 2 non-successive terms in 1894 and 1910; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1873, 1896, 1912); deputy collector, port of Erie (1882); deputy collector, United States Internal Revenue Service, Erie (1883-1884); died, December 14, 1926 in Washington Township, Erie County, Pennsylvania; interred, Edinboro Cemetery, Edinboro, Erie County, Pennsylvania.
