WATSON, Matthew Clark, a Representative from Indiana County; born, September 28, 1846 in Young Township, Indiana County, Pa.; graduated, Elders Ridge Academy, 1872; attended, University of Michigan Law School; 1873; lawyer; elected, District Attorney, Indiana County (1877-1884); elected, delegate, Republican National Convention (1884, 1904); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1906; reelected to the House in 1908 and 1912; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1910, 1914); died, March 10, 1924 in Indiana, Indiana County, Pennsylvania; interred, Oakland Cemetery and Mausoleum, Indiana, Indiana County, Pennsylvania.
