WALTON, William D., a Representative from Lawrence County; born in Princeton, Lawrence County, Pa., 1870; B.A., Westminster College, 1895; school teacher; reporter, New Castle Daily Guardian, Courant and Courant-Guardian (1895-1897); reporter, Pittsburgh Commercial Gazette and Gazette Times (1897-1900); merchant; elected, justice of the peace, Shenango Township, Lawrence County (1901-1908); elected, alderman (1901-1911); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1908); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1911, 1913 and 1915 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1916); hotel proprietor; died, January 15, 1953 in New Castle, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.
