WALKER, John D., a Representative from Clearfield County; born in Brisbin, Clearfield County, Pa., October 7, 1883; graduated, Temple University; employed, Stanly Coal Mining Company; proprietor, J. D. Walker Coal Company, retail coal business; proprietor and president, Walker New Riving Mining Company, WV; elected, Brisbin School Board; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1927 and 1929 terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1931 term; elected, treasurer, Brisbin; died, August 4, 1951 in Brisbin, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania; interred, Odd Fellows Cemetery, Brisbin, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania
