TONER, William, a Representative from Luzerne County; born, April 5, 1862 in Rutherglen, South Lanarkshire, Scotland; graduated, St. Andrew’s School, Scotland; coal miner; school director, Plymouth Township; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1907 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1909 term; check weighman, Kingston Coal Company; elected, president, Mine Inspectors Examining Board (1912); died, December 28, 1925 in Mount Savage, Allegany County, Maryland.
