THOMPSON, Nelson H., a Representative from Butler County; born in Brady Township, Butler County, Pa., March 21, 1848; attended, Sunbury Academy; attended, Witherspoon Institute, Butler; school teacher (3 years); farmer (1863-1917); dairy farmer; elected, township auditor, school director and overseer of the poor, Brady Township; elected, justice of the peace (14 years); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to serve the 1901 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1903 term; died, February 24, 1917 in Brady Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania; interred, Muddy Creek Cemetery, Muddy Creek, Butler County, Pennsylvania.
