STROUP, Michael Elmer, a Representative from Dauphin County; born in Elizabethville, Dauphin County, Pa., August 16, 1873; graduated, Franklin and Marshall College, 1895; served, Governor’s Troop, Pennsylvania National Guard (1895-1898); lawyer; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1903 and 1905 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House in the 1906 General election; elected, District Attorney, Dauphin County (1912-1920); deputy attorney general, Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General; died, October 29, 1931 in Elizabethville, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Maple Grove Cemetery, Elizabethville, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
