STRAYER, Rev. John Franklin, a Representative from Westmoreland County; born, March 8, 1886 in Buena Vista, Polk County, Or.; graduated, Bonebrake Theological Seminary; teacher; school principal, Bradford Township, Clearfield County (1 term); Evangelical United Brethren minister; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1924 and 1926; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1928); died, August 14, 1960 in South Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania; interred, Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Johnstown, Cambria County, Pennsylvania.
