LAUGHLIN, Charles P., a Representative from Beaver County; born in Ambridge, Beaver County; Pa., November 19, 1931; attended public and parochial schools; produce manager, A&P store; elected, council, Conway, Pa.; volunteer fireman; financial secretary, Beaver County Labor Council; public relations; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1972; served 7 more consecutive terms; appointed, Legislative Budget and Finance Committee (1981-1988); appointed, chair, Select Committee to Investigate the Bidding Requirements for Certain PennDOT Contracts (1985); died while in office, April 10, 1988 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Beaver Cemetery and Mausoleum, Beaver, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.
