STAUDENMEIER, Charles W., a Representative from Schuylkill County; born in Ashland, Schuylkill County, Pa., November 4, 1894; graduated, Ashland High School, 1912; attended, Villanova College; LL.B., Dickinson School of Law (now Penn State Dickinson Law), 1916; instructor, Camp Meigs, Washington, DC, United States Army; lawyer; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1923, 1925 and 1927 terms; resigned from the House, June 1, 1927; Deputy District Attorney, Schuylkill County (1927-1928); reelected to the House for the 1929 and 1931 terms; elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1933-1936); unsuccessful campaign for reelection, State Senate (1936); elected, judge, Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas, Schuylkill County (1947-1967); died, January 12, 1988 in Ashland, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania; interred, St. Mauritius Catholic Church Cemetery, Ashland, Pennsylvania.
