SPANGLER, Robert S., a Representative from York County; born in York, York County, Pa., May 10, 1882; graduated, University of Virginia; attorney; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to serve the 1913 term; reelected to the House to serve the 1915, 1917, 1919, 1921, 1923, 1929 and 1931 terms; elected, Speaker (1919-April 26, 1921); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1924); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1932); died, February 22, 1961 in Spring Garden Township, York County, Pennsylvania; interred, Prospect Hill Cemetery, York, York County, Pennsylvania.
