SONES, John E., a Representative from Schuylkill County; born in McKees Half Falls, Snyder County, Pa., July 24, 1875; graduated, West Chester Normal School (now West Chester University of Pennsylvania), 1902; teacher; principal, Pine Grove and Cressona High Schools; lawyer; member, Board of County Viewers; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1915 and 1917 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1918); died, August 26, 1930 in Pottsville, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania; interred, Friedens Union Cemetery, Hegins, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
