SNYDER, Daniel John, Sr., a Representative from Westmoreland County; born, November 17, 1867 in Penn Township, Westmoreland County, Pa.; B.A., Heidelberg University, Oh., 1892; M.A., Heidelberg University, 1895; LL.B., Yale University, 1896; teacher (3 years); attorney (1896-1940); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1914 and 1916; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1918); appointed, judge, Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas, Westmoreland County (1918-1919); elected, president judge, Orphans Court of Westmoreland County (1921-1940); died, June 28, 1953 in Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Clair Cemetery, Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
