SNYDER, Artanus H., a Representative from Northampton County; born in Shoenersville, Lehigh County, Pa., June 5, 1863; graduated, Knauss Business Institute, Easton; clerk, mercantile business; postmaster, United States Postal Service (1885-1908); mercantile appraiser, Northampton County; elected, auditor, East Allen Township (6 years); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1909 and 1911 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House in the 1912 General election; died, April 27, 1939 in Upper Saucon Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania; interred, Greenwood Cemetery, Howertown, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.
