SNADER, Aaron Weaver, a Representative from Lancaster County; born in East Earl Township, Lancaster County, Pa., February 23, 1844; attended, Millersville State Normal School (now Millersville University of Pennsylvania); farmer; teacher (12 years); lawyer; elected, justice of the peace (1876); elected, surveyor, Lancaster County (1877); director, New Holland National Bank (1881-1887); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1881 and 1883 terms; organized, Earl Mutual Fire Insurance Company (1883); elected, school board treasurer, New Holland (1895-1906); organizer and president, New Holland Water Company (1894-1906); reelected to the House for the 1903 and 1905 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1884, 1906); proprietor, silk manufacturing firm; trustee, Millersville State Normal School (now Millersville University of Pennsylvania); died, June 28, 1918 in New Holland, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Stephen United Church of Christ, New Holland, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
