SMITH, Lee, a Representative from Fayette County, born, February 27, 1863 in Johnstown, Cambria County, Pa.; graduated, West Virginia University; factory worker; telegraph operator; teacher; principal, Uniontown public schools (1891-1895); superintendent, Uniontown public schools (1895-1902); lawyer; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as Republican in 1914, 1916 and 1920; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1918, 1922); died, November 9, 1941 in Connellsville, Fayette County, Pennsylvania; interred; Oak Grove Cemetery, Uniontown, Fayette County, Pennsylvania.
