SHEELY, George Daniel, a Representative from Adams County; born in Oxford Township, Adams County, Pa., August 31, 1878; school director, Oxford Township (1 term); clerk, Baltimore Post Office (1901-1909); farmer; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1928; reelected in 1930; unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the House (1932);unsuccessful campaign, United States Congress (1936); unsuccessful campaign, clerk of the courts, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (1943); shipping clerk, Pennsylvania State Library (1947-1957); died, July 25, 1958 in Hanover, York County, Pennsylvania; interred at New Oxford Cemetery, New Oxford, Adams County, Pennsylvania.
