SCOTT, Samuel Bryan, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, August 26, 1878 in Allegheny City (now Pittsburgh), Allegheny County, Pa.; attended, Shadyside Academy, Pittsburgh A.B., Princeton University; A.M., Princeton University; field artillery major, United States Army Reserves Corps (World War I); lawyer (1905-1941); member, 22nd Ward Republican Committee; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Fusion Republican in 1906, 1908 and 1910; reelected to the House as a Keystone/Washington Party candidate in 1912; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1914, 1916); chair, Philadelphia Registration Commission (1926); died, April 6, 1941 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
