SCOTT, John Roger Kirkpatrick, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, July 6, 1873 in Bloomsburg, Columbia County, Pa.; graduated, Central High School, 1893; attended, Law Department, University of Pennsylvania;  lawyer (1895-1945); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1898; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1900); reelected to the House in 1908, 1910, and 1912; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1914); elected, United States Congress (1915-January, 5, 1919); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania Lieutenant Governor (1918); reelected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to serve the 1919 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1920); elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (April 28, 1936-1936) died, December 9, 1945 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
