SCHUCK, Carey Lucas, a Representative from Westmoreland County; born, July 26, 1872 in Findley, Hancock County, Oh.; graduated, Eastman National Business College, 1891; Ph.D., Ohio State University, 1898; served four years in the University of Batallion of Cadets, attaining rank of adjunct; employed, Columbus Dispatch (1898-1900); employed, Pittsburgh Post (1900-1902); editor and owner, The Monessen News (1902-1930); elected in a Special Election to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives on January 9, 1906 to serve the remaining 1905 term; reelected to the House in 1908 and 1912; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1910); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1914); editor and owner, Monessen News-Call (1926-1946); died, March 24, 1946 in Monessen, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Westland Cemetery, Centerville, Washington County, Pennsylvania.
