SCHILLING, Joseph Michael, born in Ashland, Schuylkill County, Pa., August 25, 1881; machinist apprentice, Pennsylvania Railroad; foreman of repairs, Pennsylvania Railroad (5 years); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to serve the 1919 term and served 5 consecutive terms thereafter; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1931 term; died, July 19, 1955 in Erie, Erie County, Pennsylvania; interred at Calvary Cemetery, Erie, Erie County, Pennsylvania.
