SCHAEFFER, Adam C., a Representative from Schuylkill County; born in Cranberry, Luzerne County, Pa., June 21, 1881; coal miner; elected, chief burgess, Mahanoy City (1906-1909); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1913 term and served 6 consecutive terms (1913-1924); not a candidate for reelection (1924); tax clerk, Schuylkill County, 1918; unsuccessful campaign for Pa. Senate (1928, 1932); died in 1940; interred, German Protestant Cemetery, Mahanoy City, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
