RYAN, William J., a Representative from Allegheny County; born in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pa., May 11, 1866; educated in the public schools; glass blower (12 years); engaged in the hotel business (1888-1902); member, Allegheny County Democratic Committee; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1903 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1905 term; elected, alderman, 12th Ward, Pittsburgh (1906-1911); died, August 31, 1912 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Calvary Cemetery, Allegheny County, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
