RUTHERFORD, Samuel H., a Representative from Dauphin County; born in Swatara Township, Dauphin County, Pa., March 3, 1843; attended, Tuscarora Academy; farmer; engaged in ice business; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1899 and 1901 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1903 term; died, November 17, 1923 in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Paxton Presbyterian Churchyard, Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
