RICHARDS, Irwin P., a Representative from Northampton County; born in Black Horse Tavern, Williams Township, Northampton County, Pa., June 9, 1864; graduated, Trach’s Academy, Easton; hotel keeper; farmer (1887-1907); auctioneer; elected, sheriff, Northampton County (1915-1919); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1920; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1922); died, March 26, 1934; interred, Hays Cemetery, Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.
