RICH, Michael Bond, a Representative from Clinton County; born in Woolrich, Clinton County, Pa., April 30, 1855; educated in public schools; attended, Dickinson Seminary (now Lycoming College), 1874-1876; partner, John Rich and Brothers, woolen manufactures (1876-1930); secretary and treasurer, Chatham’s Water Company and Oak Grove Improvement Company; director and vice-president, Clinton Trust Company; board of directors, Central State Normal School (now Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania); board of directors, Dickinson Seminary (now Lycoming College); president, Clinton Telephone Company; elected, commissioner, Clinton County (1881); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1914 and 1916; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1918); president, Woolrich Woolen Mills (1930); died, August 8, 1930 in Porter Township, Clinton County, Pennsylvania; interred, Woolrich Cemetery, Woolrich, Clinton County, Pennsylvania.
