RENO, Claude Trexler, a Representative from Lehigh County; born in Lyons, Berks County, Pa., April 4, 1882; graduated, Allentown High School, 1900; attended, Muhlenberg College, 1900-1902; LL.B., Dickinson College School of Law (now Penn State Dickinson Law), 1905; lawyer; appointed, sheriff’s solicitor, Lehigh County; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1910; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1912); unsuccessful campaign, United States Congress (1912); judge, Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas, Lehigh County (gubernatorial appointee, 1921-1923; elected, president judge, 1924-1934); gubernatorial appointee, Pennsylvania Attorney General (1939-1942); judge, Pennsylvania Superior Court (gubernatorial appointee, 1942; elected, 1943-1953); died, June 11, 1961 in Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania; interred, Fairview Cemetery, Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.
