REESE, Frank C., a Representative from Schuylkill County; born in Wadesville, Schuylkill County, Pa., February 11, 1865; attended, Dickinson Seminary (now Lycoming College), 1883; coal miner; clerk, telegraph operator and accountant, Philadelphia and Reading Coal and Iron Company; clerk of council, Shenandoah; assessor, auditor and registrar of voters, Shenandoah (1890-1892); assessor, Shenandoah schools (1890-1892); assistant manager, Shenandoah Water and Gas Company (1893-1894); deputy controller and clerk, Schuylkill County (1895-1896); elected, register of wills and clerk of Orphans’ Court, Schuylkill County (1896-1899); president, Kehley Run Ice Company; owner, Ashland Daily and Weekly Local; president and secretary, Shenandoah Powder Company; president, Black Diamond Powder Company; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1912; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1914); unsuccessful campaign, treasurer, Schuylkill County (1915); field agent and investigator, Anthracite Consumers’ League (1917-1918); appointed, auditor, Pennsylvania State Highway Department (1918); coal land investigator, Pennsylvania Auditor General’s office (1918-1921); manager, Reese & Brumm Lumber and Supply Company; manager and secretary, Anthracite Lumber Company; president, Reese Garage & Motor Company; promoter and owner, Penn Tobacco Company; elected, Director of the Poor, Schuylkill County (1928-1933); appointed, adjustor, Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry (1931-1933); died April 9, 1933 in Pottsville, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania; interred, Charles Baber Cemetery, Pottsville, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
