REDFIELD, Horace Hamlin, a Representative from McKean County; born in Chattanooga, Hamilton County, Tn., January 10, 1878; attended, St. John’s Military School, Manlius, NY; attended, Hobart College; proprietor, hardware store (1900-1907); director, Grange National Bank; president, First National Bank, Eldred; director, Hamlin Bank and Trust Company; director, First National Bank, Bradford; elected, council, Smethport (1 term); member, board of education, Smethport; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representative (1910); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1912; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1914); director, Great Southern Lumber Company, Bogalusa, La.; vice president and director, New Orleans and Great Northern Railroad; director, Smethport Water Company; president, McKean County Refining Company; director, Coudersport and Port Allegany Railroad; director and president, First National Bank of Eldred; director, Gaylord Container Corporation, St. Louis, Mo.; died, September 16, 1939 in Kane, McKean County, Pennsylvania; interred, Rose Hill Cemetery, Smethport, McKean County, Pennsylvania.
