REBER, Horace Francis, a Representative from Schuylkill County; born in Rock, Washington Township, Schuylkill County, Pa., February 25, 1866; graduated, Pine Grove High School, 1885; lieutenant, Company G, 4th Regiment, Pennsylvania National Guard (1891-1898); clerk, Philadelphia and Reading Railway; tax clerk to the commissioners, Schuylkill County (1894-1897); chief clerk to the commissioners, Schuylkill County (1897-1899); elected, council, Pine Grove; school director, Pine Grove; elected, commissioner, Schuylkill County (1900-1905); operator, hosiery mill (1906-1909); editor and publisher, Pine Grove Herald newspaper (1909-1934); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1919 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1920); died, April 24, 1946 in Pottsville, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
