RAYMOND, David L., a Representative from Potter County; born, May 27, 1832 in Richford, Tompkins County, NY; sergeant, Company K, 149th Regiment, "Bucktails," Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1862-1863, Civil War); private, Company H (1864-1865) and Company A (1865), 160th Regiment, 15th Pennsylvania Volunteer Calvary (Civil War); farmer; engaged, lumbering business; elected, treasurer, Potter County (3 years); school director, Potter County; overseer of the poor, Potter County Poorhouse; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives 1900 and served 1 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1902); died, July 8, 1922; interred, Raymond Cemetery, Raymond, Potter County, Pennsylvania.
