POST, Sterling T., a Representative from Northumberland County; born in Scott Township, Lackawanna County, Pa., October 31, 1891; graduated, Bucknell Academy, 1909; graduated, Bucknell University, 1917; school teacher; instructor, Lock Haven Teachers College (now Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania); elected, school board, Point Township; proprietor, mercantile business; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1927 term and served 2 consecutive terms thereafter; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1932); cheif clerk to the commissioners, Northumberland County (1932-1945); unsuccessful campaign, recorder of deeds, Northumberland County (1945); died, February 12, 1948 in Northumberland, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania; interred, West Side Cemetery, Shamokin Dam, Snyder County, Pennsylvania.
