POMEROY, Robert P., a Representative from Lawrence County; born in Neshannock Township, Mercer County, Pa., December 27, 1843; attended, Westminster College; private, Company D, 134th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1862-1863, Civil War); farmer; elected, commissioner, Lawrence County (1881-1884); Assistant Sergeant-at-Arms, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1891-1892); Postmaster, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1897-1898); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1902; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1904); died, April 3, 1920 in New Castle, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania; interred, Neshannock Presbyterian Cemetery, New Wilmington, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.
