PATTERSON, Matthew, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, July 7, 1881 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; clerk; leader, 19th Ward Republican Committee; salesman, The Geigy Co.; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1917 and 1919 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the 1921 term; elected, delegate, Republican National Conventions (1924, 1928); reelected to the House for the 1925 and 1927 terms; won reelection to the House for the 1929 term, but was not Sworn-In; died, January 10, 1939 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
