PALMER, Charles G., a Representative from Schuylkill County; born, June 22, 1839 in Somersetshire, England; coal miner, Susquehanna Coal Company (40 years); elected, council, Shenandoah; elected, justice of the peace, Shenandoah (1879); elected, tax collector, Shenandoah; unsuccessful campaign, burgess, Shenandoah (1896); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1903 and 1905 terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1906); appointed, trustee, State Home for Aged and Decrepit Miners (1903-1904); died, May 5, 1915 in Shenandoah, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
