LANGTRY, Alice S., a Representative from Allegheny County; born, June 29, 1932 in Springfield, Hampden County, Ma.; graduated, North Quincy High School; attended, Boston College; attended, The Pennsylvania State University (1967-1969); attended, Allegheny County Community College; corporate administration; member, Allegheny County Republican Committee (1977-1981); member, Traffic Safety Board, Upper St. Clair Township (1979-1980); member, Principals’ Advisory Committee, Upper St. Clair High School (1980-1981); elected, commissioner, Upper St. Clair Township (1982-1984); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1984; served 3 more consecutive terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1992); died, May 1, 2017 in Barrington, Cook and Lake Counties, Illinois.
