OSTER, George William, a Representative from Bedford County; born, East St. Clair Township, Bedford County, Pa. on June 6, 1860; attended, Juniata College; general farmer; dairy farmer; poultry breeder; teacher (11 terms); school director (3 years); notary public; director, National Bank; transcribing clerk, Pennsylvania State Senate (1897); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1902); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1906 and 1908; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1910); justice of the peace, East St. Clair Township (12 years); died, January 1, 1924 in Osterburg, Bedford County, Pennsylvania; interred, Trinity United Church of Christ Cemetery, Osterburg, Bedford County, Pennsylvania.
